4 Ways to Use Our Melody Odor Neutralizer & Fragrance Spray

Posted by Kim Giraldo on

Melody Odor NeutralizerSometimes you don’t need a deep clean – you just need a little spritz! Our Melody Odor Neutralizer & Fragrance Spray doesn’t just cover up odors, it actually removes them. It’s a clean, non-staining option that you can use on anything. It is pet- and kid-friendly, so don’t be shy about using it in kid’s room, doghouses, or anyone’s toys. Here are some ways you can use Melody around your house.

1. Spray it on fabrics and furniture.

Has your furniture ever smelled… off? You can’t pinpoint what it is, but you definitely tell something is amiss when you sit on your sofa or stand near your drapes.

Furniture and fabric pick up odor just like our clothes, but they get washed a lot less often. (My couch doesn’t quite fit in the washing machine.) Anytime the dog lays on the couch, your kids plop down in their sports gear, or your husband takes a break from mowing the lawn, your furniture absorbs the sweat and odor of everyday life.

Use Melody to freshen up your living spaces so your house always smells fresh and clean.

2. Spray it on cat litter.

If you have an inside cat, you know that the cat litter box can really stink up something fierce. Even when you’ve emptied it properly, there’s still a lingering smell. After all, it’s not like you can follow your cat around and clean the box every time he uses it; some waste is inevitably going to sit there for a while.

Give the little box (even the sand) a spray every day or so. Feel free to spray in the vicinity of the box as well to make sure you got all the odor particles.

3. Spray it in the baby’s car seat.

Like your other pieces of furniture, a car seat doesn’t get washed often. In fact… have you ever washed a car seat? You might wipe it down after a spill, but many never receive a solid cleaning. Odor from dirty diapers are bound to get into the car seat, and even little babies sweat.

I like to keep a bottle of Melody in my car when my kids were younger. Every time I took one of them out of the car seat, I would give it a quick spray. If they spilled anything in the car or had a particularly troublesome accident, I would spray then too.

4. Spray just before company.

Now, I’m sure no one lives in a dirty home, but when we have guests over, we want to make sure our house smells extra clean. You can have toys on the floor, unfolded clothes in the basket, and a cluttered kitchen counter – most people don’t care. But a home with even the hint of a bad odor gives off the wrong impression.

If you know your guests are coming over, spritz some Melody in the air to give off that fresh, I’m-a-perfect-host feel. If guests surprise you, pop off a quick spray while they’re in the other room – Melody acts quickly, so they’ll never know you were unprepared.

Like most of our products, Melody is available in our “Amped Up” and “Unplugged” scents. You can pick up your bottle here.
